In the vicinity of Ostend you can explore the polders on foot or by bike. The neighbouring lovely town of Bruges is also highly recommended. It is even possible to explore the entire Belgian coast by tram in one day. And, of course, there are many cosy restaurants where you can enjoy the local specialities.
